Q. Will my hormone imbalance affect my polygraph examination?

A. Hormonal imbalances do not affect polygraph accuracy, nor do hormone therapies. Women who experience “hot flashes” may have an accompanying change in blood pressure that is recorded on the polygraph, however these changes are random, and unlikely to occur precisely every time a particular question is given on the test.
