Pregnancy

Q. I'm pregnant and I'm wondering if this will affect my polygraph examination?

A. First, congratulations. There are no known health risks to mother or unborn child associated with polygraph testing. Policies regarding the testing of pregnant women vary by agency or examiner, and may include refusal to test, refusal to test if there is a history of miscarriage, testing only in the first or second trimester, testing only when the expectant mother obtains a written approval from her doctor for the polygraph testing, or no prohibitions or provisos at all.
